TV in BA

Our first morning in Buenos Aires, I was a little surprised to discover that the local TV offerings included little more than subtitled or dubbed United States TV shows ("Gilmore Girls," "The A-Team," "Seinfeld," etc.) and really, really bad weight loss infomercials. Seriously bad...I can't even begin to describe them.

While I was sad to not discover any programs along the lines of what I imagined to be a "Good Morning Buenos Aires" type of show, I am happy to find that TNT delivers movie after movie. Last night we watched "Signs" (and opted not to watch "The Village.") Tonight, we caught "The Borne Supremacy" just as it was ending, and "The Minority Report" is just starting. So, ciao for now...

So, after a brief review on Wikipedia .... When you going surfing? Another question - does the water going down the sink really rotate in the opposite direction of the northern hemisphere? Oh ..... and Happy Valentine's Day. Haven't seen any posts from Henry ---- how are his keyboarding skills? t&j

Hola, Big Man!

Surfing? As in, Dude-Where's-The-Water surfing? Haven't seen clear enough water that I would like to get in yet. However, the Poker King says Puenta de Esta in Uruguay is the place to head if we want beautiful beaches. Doesn't look like we'll make it there this trip. (Have to save something for next year.)

BTW, if Poker King didn't clear up his Pokerness, I gotta give him props. Perhaps BP wasn't born into the Pokerdome, but he lives&breathes it. Anyone who plays multiple video poker machines at a time and nearly always cashes out ahead in Vegas, earns the title Poker King.

If C hasn't blogged about it, we've seen several golden retrievers in our hood, including a 4-5 month old lil fatty. Hope our baby is having a good time at hound camp.

Oh, & big smoochie V-Day kisses to all our fans in beautiful Pendleton, OR!

Love, J

PS, the water flushes down counter-clockwise. Check out your hemisphere and get back to us.
